‍At Zalm Partners, we saw a gap in the market for bike repairs. The process was often frustrating for cyclists—long waits, unclear pricing, and unreliable service were the norm. So, we took matters into our own hands and created Fixrr, a platform that would make bike repairs simple, transparent, and efficient. With Fixrr, we aimed to bring reliability and ease to cyclists in Rotterdam and beyond.

‍We launched Fixrr as an in-house project, developing the platform from scratch to address the common pain points cyclists face when trying to repair their bikes. Fixrr connects users directly with trusted bike mechanics, ensuring fast service, transparent pricing, and seamless communication.

We quickly brought Fixrr to life by launching an MVP that focused on providing a seamless user experience for both cyclists and mechanics. Using our expertise in rapid development, we launched the platform within a short timeframe, allowing us to gather real-world feedback from users and refine the product as we go.

Fixrr's MVP allowed us to:

• Test the platform in Rotterdam, one of the most bike-heavy cities in the Netherldns.
• Optimize the user experience for both the customer (cyclist) and the service provider (bike mechanic).
• Start building a reliable database of trusted mechanics across the city.

Growth & Future Vision

‍Fixrr is just the beginning. Our goal is to expand the platform throughout the Netherlands, transforming the bike repair experience for cyclists nationwide. Beyond the current functionality, we’re also working on features that will allow mechanics to:

• Optimize their operations: Streamline booking, scheduling, and payment processing.‍
• ‍Gain insights: Analytics and data tools that help mechanics better understand customer needs and preferences.

We’re also looking at integrating additional features, such as inventory management and automated billing for bike mechanics, to further streamline their businesses and allow them to focus on what they do best.
